I've decided to attack some nonsense in our society with my blog. Todays' article deals with the ridiculousness of some of the most silly song lyrics to ever run over my ear.
Iyanya - "from the couch to the bed,
from the bed to the bedroom"

D'prince - "Take banana till you go yo"
The song world is riddled with tons and
tons of ridiculous and outlandish lyrics that make sane minds pause the song
they're listening to for a moment.
Most songs that get into the top hits are
usually there because they have 'good beats' and rhythm. It's not a sin to like
good beats or have them. I'm not against good beats either. I like them well
enough. But there are times when the lyrics of a song are just SO bad....good
beats can't possibly be good enough.
If you have never paused any one of these
songs or thought about the utter ridiculousness of the lyrics or its lack of contribution to
any part of human society, then you are either very fun-loving, insane or the
producer or maker of the song.
Here are some of a few more lyrics to make
you wonder "What ever happened to good music? "
1. David Guetta featuring Akon, “Sexy B***h”
“I’m trying to find the words to describe this girl / Without being disrespectful / Damn you’se a sexy b***h.”
Honestly Akon, I really think you didn't try hard enough at all.... :|
2. Nicki Minaj, “Stupid Hoe”
“You a stupid hoe / You a / You a stupid hoe / (stupid,
stupid).”
3. Live, “Lightning Crashes”
“Lightning crashes, a
new mother cries / Her placenta falls to the floor.”
But why...?
4. Live - "All Over You"
"Our love is like water / Pinned down and abused for
being strange."
Okay. First of all, you can't PIN DOWN WATER. Also, water
covers 70% of the earth. It is the LEAST STRANGE thing on the planet.
First off, WHO is even
going around ABUSING WATER FOR BEING STRANGE?
5. Dorobucci by Mavins All-stars
This is probably the biggest hit of 2014. Don Jazzy is a great producer no doubt, but he and his artistes have a history of churning out garbage. Dorobucci is so meaningless some people began to doro-call it doro-occultic. Doro bloody. .Doro rubbish.... Doro
In Oyo state, Doro is that rubber device used in drawing up water from a well.
6. The Cheeky Girls – Cheeky Song
Which lyrics?
“Touch my bum, this is life.”
Why?
For years, philosophers and scholars have been searching
tirelessly for the meaning of life.
As far away from a definitive answer as we may still be, for
those who are non-christians shaa, and as desperate for an answer we may be
becoming, I’m fairly sure that touching the buttocks of a pair of Romanian pop
music twins isn’t the one we’ve been searching for…
7. O.T. Genasis - Coco
"I'm in love with the coco"
"All this coke, like I'm Nino
Water whip, like I'm Nemo"

....I'm not even going to put the rest of the lyrics on this blog because its not going to make any difference besides belittling the decency of the article here.
8. 2 Chainz, “Birthday Song”
“She got a big booty
so I call her Big Booty.”
As you can see, 2 Chainz is VERY creative here....
SMH.
9. Shakira - "Wherever, Whenever"
"Lucky that my lips not only mumble/ They spill kisses
like a fountain/ Lucky that my breasts are small and humble/ So you don't
confuse them with mountains"
Oh Shakira.... my dear, even the largest, most ridiculous breasts
on the planet will never, EVER be confused with mountains. Don’t be so silly. There is God ooo :|
Well shaa....at least I think the song was actually CREATED to be a parody...well....at least I HOPE it was. :|

The worst part is that this is the kind of music that sells millions and millions of copies. The world gets worse and worse, and the true reason of that is because we're killing it. We make the world bad, and then turn around claiming that we want it to change. If it has a good beat or 'cool effects' and graphics people rush over themselves in musical ecstasy - even if the song has no meaning or contribution to societal value. This is the world we live in.....This is the world we've made.....

Quite true..finding a good song with a good beat and lyrics to match is rare and it pains me cos Nigeria has so much potential to create songs with meaningful lyrics I wish d musicians wud take d pain to go n find some inspiration.
LOl, I knooooow. There are tons of amazing and beautiful songs, but the wierdest ones are the ones that usually become the most popular though...
