One cannot stand to the corner and observe life,
as a phenomenon in a philosopher's mind,
Or a string of theories on a scientist's board,
Or even a little squabble to constitute our petty gossip.
The reason is simple:
The dance between this life and us, clueless men,
Can be likened to the phagocytes flowing in our veins.
See, these white blood cells can get so overwhelming,
Once they spot the foreign bodies underwhelming
us.
Yes.
They
overwhelm, engulf, encapsulate.
They
trap these pesky disease-inducers.
They
grab a hold so tightly, so wholly, completely.
Life doesn't just take you, it swallows you!
It is your big fish, Jonah!
Embrace it!
Then control it.
The brain doesn't function from a distance, but from within;
You can't take life by the horns from outside the bullpen.
And you prolly don't want this out in the open air,
But you can't shoot your shot until you grow a pair.
And I know there's no proper ending to this little entry.
So I'll just leave this hanging like it's wet laundry.
