Shoot Your Shot - The Ebi Ashidi Version
Ebi Ashidi
Happy new year… been a while I guess…
If you are active on social media, especially twitter, you would be used to the 'shoot your shot' ideology that came in a few years back, and has gradually gained popularity among young people everywhwere - just like every fad on the planet (And the social media frenzy old people as well) what does it mean to shoot your shot?
The Urban Dictionary (yes, we have a thing like that) defines it as, 'to let go of your pride and pursue someone you are interested in’ or ‘take a chance, no matter if you fail or not’.

Open doors
SOME DOORS ARE NOT YOURS
"I was putting in some fuel in the generator at home. Some flies kept hovering over the source of light I had with me.
Just as I finished putting in fuel and I wanted to cover the tank - one of the flies flew directly into the tank.
Well! I simply covered it.
As I turned away, the Holy Spirit whispered to me,

Bank statements - Post 1
Hi @bankstatements,
It all starts with a girl who fell in love with a guy; she is chubby, with a quite different personality, doesn't eat junk food, eats good food to the extent that her friends tell her to watch her weight. Now like in the American movies, she believes that since she's chubby, no guy would like her or fall in love with her. In fact, she doesn't dress to kill because her thoughts remain the same that a guy can't approach her.
One day, she met a guy on a group chat through her best friend.

Into Darkness
The Taxi driver showed me a big black welt on his neck.
It ran around his neck.
Blueish black.
Swollen.
He told me that in October he had gone to a real estate agency on Allen Avenue to pay for six plots of land in Lekki EPZ zone.
Twenty four million plus naira inclusive of all charges.

A Friend Indeed
I can't tell you how many posts and statuses I've seen of people threatening to cut off undeserving friends, talking about how much they don't need anyone else, or how little you matter to their life.
Now as the year is ending, these posts are intensifying. "All my haters should stay in 2017", "If you know you don't like me, delete my contact" and all sorts of things.
Now, don't get me wrong; I'm all up for staying in a good crowd, with good friends that are truly good for your wellbeing. But I've noticed the trends these days in our generation are centered and popularized around selfishness and building walls.
