"SRC SCAMMED ABUAD STUDENTS"

On Friday, March 2nd, 2018 Abuad SRC(student representative council) showed a pirated version of the black panther movie at their in-school movie event. The graphics were very poor, it was cinema dub even; and the movie had Chinese subtitles. I guess those of us who took that Chinese AFE class seriously were the happiest.

Before the day of the black panther movie, some friends and I had been looking forward to watching the movie. We were finally happy that we will join the bandwagon of wakanda specialists, like the rest of the internet. On the night of the movie, even we first saw the bad graphics, we were still hopeful that it would get better; but after 20 minutes, we saw no changes. We were furious!! And extremely frustrated. Everyone at the cinema setting was mad at the SRC. Our 2000 naira was just wasted.

The SRC gave an explanation on Instagram. They explained how they didn't plan the fraud, and that it was also a surprise to them. The common saying going around before that was "SRC scammed ABUAD students", as you can see in the title.

But we all know this is Nigeria. As much as we believe the story, we all have that tinge of doubt in our minds that something fishy definitely went down, and this is just some sort of damage control. But hey, here at TRJ, it's what we have that we give you.
