 Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas. She was the patient of a doctor by the name of Will Phillips. Dr. Phillips was a gentle doctor who saw patients as people. His favorite patient was Edith Burns. One morning he went to his office with a heavy heart and it was because of Edith Burns. When he walked into that waiting room, there sat Edith with her big black Bible in her lap earnestly talking to a young mother sitting beside her. Edith Burns had a habit of introducing herself in this way;

The Gentle Soul

On Saturday, I lost my grandfather to the ravages and clutches of time.

He was a gentle breath of fresh air, in a foul world progressively riding towards an unrepentant decay. I will miss him. And as I look back, I cannot help but wonder and remember, the things I should have done with him....

THE FOOLISH WORLD

The Igbos have a saying, "Uwa wu otu mbia"

It means that, in this world, there is just one life

That is why we must all be cautious of this life

I also say, that this world is truly "Ikpu Wigous"

All I'm saying is that we all really have to focus

After this world we suffer in, there is yet a better one

But going to the better, depends on how you lived in this one

The Hate of Aversion

What is that one thing you would NEVER do? What is something that is so repugnant or taboo to you, that the very idea repulses you when you consider yourself ever even trying** it?

For some people its killing. For some it's premarital sex. For others it's illegal drugs. For some it's changing religion. Whatever it is - it all depends on several factors. There are numerous factors in reality and a few would include your
environment,
family
Peer group
Upbringing
Religious background
Media exposure
Etc

Heck...for some people even life is something they would like to totally avoid....
