SUN KISSED

When I was cold and alone,
You showed me warmth and made me whole.
In your rays I shine and glow,
Bathed by your light my soul has grown.

Take Your Time (Processes)

Over the past weeks we've been discussing processes and we've been able to establish the fact that processes are important and there's a purpose for every process.

Why Processes?

[2 min read]
Happy New Month, its June already, how time flies... So from the last post we started a conversation on processes, dig in and have a great read😎

We all love a glass of good grape wine, or orange juice. I mean, who wouldn’t love well made watermelon juice? (I know there are people, but you get the point). You and I, enjoy the finished product - but would readily run to avoid working through the process. We have been trained from a young age to love finished products (ain’t nothing wrong with that). But with the love for "finished products", sadly came along the intolerance for the processes behind them.

Processes

[2 min read]

Hey there, it's been quite a while...

Life has been happening in large waves, and I've been an optimistic student learning all I can in the process. Something I learned is what I'll be discussing on this post - and in subsequent beautiful posts to come. If you didn't know it before, Life is really a bunch of process put together, happening in sync and creating a beautiful product.

Fill It Up

There was this philosophy professor in a prestigious university who loved to teach students about important theories of the subject. Once, while his lecture was about to begin, he just closed the book and instead stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him.  Students were curious but the professor without looking at them silently picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar. Thereafter, he started to fill it with small rocks. Once the jar appeared full, professor proceeded to ask his students ‘whether the jar was full?’

The Casualties

THE CASUALTIES
By Boluwatife Afolabi

Ifem,

Life is a battle
and like all similar debacles
we must deal with casualties,
cry for them,
become them even-

Husbands,
too broken to return-
to eager wives
to hungry kids
to randy mistresses.

The Case - Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight

It had been thirty-six hours since Jasmine was kidnapped.

They ran before the police came close. They knew they had a lot of questions to answer but time was running out.

Desperate times had called for desperate measures. They had to trust someone.
"I don't believe him", Connor said.

"Why?", asked Jake.
"Why would he tell you who the mole is? It's basic strategy to divide the police department so that more crimes can happen, they can kill the two of you and lock up the DA at once ... it's simple logic"
"Wow... I never thought of that", said Chris.
"You never think of anything you morons. Why would you go on a suicide mission? Do you think this is a movie?"

The empty egg

Jeremy Forrester was born with a twisted body and a slow mind. At the age of 12 he was still in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became exasperated with him. He would squirm in his seat, drool, and make grunting noises. At other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain. Most of the time, however, Jeremy just irritated his teacher.

The Gentle Soul

On Saturday, I lost my grandfather to the ravages and clutches of time.

He was a gentle breath of fresh air, in a foul world progressively riding towards an unrepentant decay. I will miss him. And as I look back, I cannot help but wonder and remember, the things I should have done with him....

The Foolish World

THE FOOLISH WORLD
By Chimamkpam Onyenezi

The Igbos have a saying, "Uwa wu otu mbia"
It means that, in this world, there is just one life
That is why we must all be cautious of this life
I also say, that this world is truly "Ikpu Wigous"
All I'm saying is that we all really have to focus
After this world we suffer in, there is yet a better one
But going to the better, depends on how you lived in this one

Testimony ONE

So...

Todays' post is just a short summary of what happened to me just this past Sunday, and how I almost lost a virtual half of my life...

First off was my journey back to Ido... that place of "true happiness"
Such lies...

How We Killed The World....

"If you could ask God one question.....what would it be?"

That's the post I saw in Nairaland one day. It's not a new question. Many people have asked the same question before. And many more people still will.

"Why did you create hell?"

The Congenital Remnants of "Seize The Bae"

2015 started with a flash bang. It seemed almost everyone had gotten tired of being the "singularity" in the paired, rib-by-rib, universe that is our world.

"Seize the bae!!"

It was the echo of frustrations which yearned for release. No more, would one walk on the roads seeing a muliplex of oscultating lips at every corner and dark walkways. One must be auscultating too!

No more, would one get jealous when a roommate gets a phone call and keeps on it for hours on end. One must annoy a roommate with mushy love talk as well!

No more, would one pine seeing couples left, right and center holding hands that seemed like they were made for each other. One must latch on to the nearest hand too. If the hand wasn't free, you would free it by force!

Seize the bae!

The Meaning of Life

"...Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.” | Marianne Williamson

"Life is many things, but above all others, it is the chance you've been waiting for." | Robert Brault

Philosophers, sages and bored teenagers throughout history have examined a critical and sometimes controversial question that has churned out an innumerable multiplex of theories and philosophies over the years.

This question is...

"What is the meaning of life."

I'm obviously not referring to either the definition seen in the Oxford dictionary or the one given by romanian pop twins in one of my earlier articles ie "Touch my bum. This is life"

#Mistakes

By Mercy Joe

There are two sides to a coin, so it is to life.

I have concealed in my thoughts my doubts about life and its rare favours but lavishing opportunities. At times I get all choked up in my thoughts that most lanes I get myself into were never meant to be crossed.

(VIDEO) Still The Same

Now a lot of Christians are out in the world not knowing much about their heritage in Christ, or the power that comes along with it. Many of us just answer “Christian” by name or title, and not by our lifestyle.

We forget that Christian means “like Christ” ie, when someone beholds you, they should see Christ in YOU. You are the Jesus that they see, YOU are the bible that they read, YOU are the image of truth that they can look at right now, right here. They should be able to see the truth in YOU. Not a lie or a sham.

“You are so much more than you can imagine or believe.”

Liable To Be Loved

He shows me His open hands,
The wounds do break my heart.
He shows me His thorn crown,
And my spirit wants to break apart
He shows me His side wound
And I agonize in my mind
But then He shows me His smile
And not a trace of sorrow, I find
