Hating Catfish

One day when I was in 300 level in the university, I went to go see a potential "interest" of mine - who I had met on Facebook, in a class at the school. So I gingerly went with excitement in my heart and seeds of butterflies in my stomach. From her profile picture, and other photos I had seen, she was gorgeous. I hadn't known her for long, but I believed myself lucky - someone with a beautiful, open mind and "stunning looks". So I peeked into the class eagerly, looking for the girl I had seen in the pictures. I didn't see her. But I did see someone who could not possibly be the girl I'd been so interested in meeting.

I thought to myself, "Maybe she's late". So I sent a text, "Where are you?". Then she sent back a reply "I'm here in the class". Then she turned back to stare at me. At that moment, terror gripped my heart.

The Killing Expectations – Romance

I strongly disagree with the picture up above. This is the kind of thing that gets relationships, that could have been great, messed up and destroyed. Communication is a two-way process. The phone works BOTH ways. If he refuses to call, then you should try to…. Don’t go giving up on a relationship because of pride. Pride is good for absolutely NOTHING but killing. It will kill your friendship, it will kill your relationships, it WILL kill your connections.

Now a lot of Christians are out in the world not knowing much about their heritage in Christ, or the power that comes along with it. Many of us just answer “Christian” by name or title, and not by our lifestyle.

We forget that Christian means “like Christ” ie, when someone beholds you, they should see Christ in YOU. You are the Jesus that they see, YOU are the bible that they read, YOU are the image of truth that they can look at right now, right here. They should be able to see the truth in YOU. Not a lie or a sham.
