I like poetry. I have for  long time now. It's beautiful how words come together to weave a story that comes alive in your mind, and awaken emotions that you may have never known you had - or even ones you believed that you had long since forgotten.

Today, I'd like to celebrate one of our contemporary poets who has been amazing me, from the very first day I read one of her works. Sing with me like it's the Sound of Music. These are a few of my favourite things... ♫

The Case - Chapter One

Chapter One:

"Mehn!! ...I ain't never seen a dull day like this, Chris" said officer Jake.

"Hand me that gun" said officer Chris.

"You wanna shoot yourself, right?"

"You know me so well".

Chris and Jake had been best friends since kindergarten, and even their parents still saw each other in their old ages. They had both entered the Police Academy at the Washington district - and after two years of cleaning guns and polishing shoes of D.A.'s, they got into the force, and had been looking for some "real action" ever since.
