About the book :

The coming race is a novel written by Sir Edward Bulwer- Lytton in 1871. It was reprinted as " vril, the power of the coming race  ". Among its readers have been some who say that the account to the  existence of a superior subterranean master race and the very powerful energy Vril, is accurate to some extent. All the same, the whole story has been accepted based on occult truth. Considering the fact that it's his very first sci-fi novel, it was taken very seriously  by the lovers of Atlantis. The plot of the book has also been recycled for various sci-fi movies and various crank theories.

East of Eden (A novel by John Steinbeck)

Review:

East of Eden is a novel written by John Steinbeck and published in 1952. It is a biblical recreation of Cain and Abel woven into the Salinas valley of California, which in a way depicts the garden of Eden. It tells the story of the Trasks brothers (Adam and Charles) and it is quite an east of perfection redefined.

THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD (2017) - Movie Review

SUMMARY:  The world’s top protection agent, Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds), must get his new client, Darius Kinclaid (Samuel. L. Jackson), one of the most notorious assassins in the world and his worst enemy, to the Hague where he is to testify against a merciless east European dictator Vladislav Duhkovich (Gary Oldman). Things do not go as planned and they are forced to fend for their lives against the dictators mercenaries, which leads various action-packed and comedic antics.

GET OUT (2017) - Movie Review

SUMMARY: 

Chris (played by Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (played by Allison Williams) have reached the point in their relationship where Rose wants him to meet her parents. Though reluctant at first, since she has never had a black boyfriend and he believes he parent will act weird around him, Rose manages to convince him. When they arrive, Chris takes their peculiar behavior to be nervous attempts to get used to their daughter first interracial relationship. But as time passes and this get progressively weirder, he begins to think otherwise.

The Fault In Our Stars (By John Green) - Book Review

REVIEW

"I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you."

The fault in our stars is a fictional story that revolves around two people, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters. Hazel happens to be a cancer patient and Augustus, a cancer survivor (Although his survival cost him a leg). It's a heart touching story about love , diseases, cancer, survival, life and death.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

SUMMARY: 
This sequel follows the guardians as they continue their adventures through the outer reaches of the galaxy. After an unfortunate mishap with one of their recent clients, the guardians find themselves having to fend off a hostile alien fleet. They are rescued by a mysterious being, who later reveals himself to be Quill’s father, Ego. As the mystery of Quill’s parentage is unraveled, we will discover if Ego is really friend or foe.

All The Light We Cannot See [By Anthony Doerr] - Book Review

Review:

Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.

This is not the type of book everyone will find interesting. It'll take a deep reader to go through everything. Shallow readers will probably dump it after the first five chapters. Doerr didn't make this easy by his complicated form of narration that only ended up making the book unnecessarily long and a bit uncanny , although it didn't terribly detract from the story. I found the mystery gem part rather baseless and confusing.

Wonder Woman (2017) - Movie Review

About the Author:

Susan Horowitz Cain (born in 1968), was a former lawyer, an American writer and lecturer. She's the author of the 2012 non-fiction book; Quiet; The power of introverts in a world that cannot stop talking. The book Quiet, has been on the New York times bestseller list for over 3 years, and has been translated into 360 languages.

Review:

Today, introversion and extroversion are two of the most exhaustively researched subjects in psychology - arousing the curiosity of hundreds of scientists. Primer (2004) - Movie Review

REVIEW:

Before you read further, you should know that this movie will not appeal to a wide audience, it will be appreciated by very few people, and rightly so. The dialogue is spiced with technical lingo, the narrative is non-linear and the plot is complex, truly mind-bending (it consistently winds up on lists of 'The most complex Hollywood movies').

SUMMARY: This movie, directed by Lasse Hallstrom follows Bailey; a dog that starts out as a Red retriever puppy who was rescued and adopted by a small town family. They take care of him till he dies, but the story doesn’t end there, as he is reincarnated as a different dog and this continues whenever he dies. It follows his various reincarnations along a period of up to fifty years as he tries to figure out his purpose

A beautifully written story, that spans across three continents. Manyika intelligently spices up the novel by introducing about 5 different languages ranging from; English, Yoruba, Nigerian pidgin, French and wolof.

SPECTRAL (2016) - Movie Review

Review: Are you looking for a blend of modern day military action coupled with feasible sci-fi and a touch of the supernatural? You will not be disappointed. Position a highly trained spec-ops team in a counter insurgency situation, within a European city, and introduce a lethal foe impartial to flags and ideals - one outside of the visible light spectrum. All parties quickly learn that their training and weapons are practically useless against these, seemingly indestructible, new players. Has the enemy deployed the ultimate secret weapon? Is it advanced tech? Or  is it the supernatural?  Unconventional warfare takes on a whole new meaning.

Fist Fight (2017) - Movie Review

RATING: 8 out of 10

SUMMARY: A meek, mild-mannered and somewhat ingratiating high school teacher, Andy Campbell (played by Charlie Day) - is challenged by fellow teacher, the harsh, no-nonsense Ron Strickland (played by Ice Cube) - to a fight in the school courtyard at the end of the last day of school, because Andy made him lose his job. This leads to many shenanigans as Andy tries to avoid the fight, but seems to just keep making things worse.
