Does Nigeria exist?

By Viola Okpara

Does Nigeria exist?

The question appears weird - I know.... very much like a question of one in an alcohol induced stupor. But are there people, who are, in fact through-and-through, purely and completely, simply "Nigerians"?

Aren't the yoruba more yoruba or the Hausa more Hausa or the Efik more Efik or Igbo more Igbo than being 'Nigerians'?

The Democratics

Before you begin reading this article, I must warn you. I was trying to browse up and read these things on Wikipedia and several other unnamed sites and ended up getting more than a little bored and a bit confused.

This represents my view and understanding from the various perspectives I've gleaned at.

You know how several people can bake the same type of cake and it'll taste different? This is kind of what it's like.

Have a bite.

When you decide that you don't want to spend your own money or eat your own food, you know that hot tasty meal is just a few footsteps across into the other compounds around. You go about ever searching for the next hot meal.
