You are unique, oh, very much so in your way.
Your shape, your feel in my arms.
I'm no racist, but your colour puts others to shame.
I smack my lips in delight, my pupils dilate and I drool at your sight.
I remember the first day I saw you, I mean actually saw you. We had always been in the same class, but for some unknown reasons, I just never saw you.
It was visiting day, and my parents couldn't make it, because they had to travel with my sick brother for treatment, so I was really unhappy. I didn't have so many friends and my only close friend, Jane, had disappeared without a trace. I was seated at my desk, flipping through my books, looking at my test scores and trying not to feel bad for myself, when I felt a light tap on my shoulder.
I have a problem. It comes as a crippling fear out of thin air It suffocates me and destabilizes me It forces me to stand face-to-face with the reality I dread most
I decided to look up the word ‘alone’
So I checked the dictionary on my phone,
And the results got me thinking.
So I did a bit more of searching,
I decided to look up loneliness,
But that just got my thoughts in a bit of a mess.
