See, I had just started my internship (as a Medical Laboratory Science graduate) after being home for almost a year and in the first few weeks, I was diligent.

Liverpool defeat Spurs as unbeaten run continues.

The weekend started with a top-of-the-table clash as Liverpool defeated Tottenham hotspurs in a thrilling clash on Saturday. Wijunaldum scored the first goal for Liverpool and Firmino came through with a belter to put Liverpool two nil up; Lamela  scored a late goal to setup a tense finale.

It was also a good week for the top teams in the football leagues as most of them won, asides Real Madrid, who drew 1-1 with Athletic Bilabo over the weekend. In other news, Cristiano Ronaldo, popularly known as ‘ororo’, scored his first and second goals for Juventus on Saturday against Sassuolo.

‘You see, about 18 months ago, Segun fell really ill and we took him to the hospital. Our doctor, I’m sure you know him he has been here few times, diagnosed him with leukemia.’

‘What is leukemia?’
‘It is the cancer of the blood.’

‘Oh.'

My new mother and I got home around 7pm. I met my two new brothers and I honestly did not know what to do, because I had never really been around boys, it was difficult to know what to say or do, but I felt certain they would be better than the girls back at the house-that was what the orphanage was called. So I smiled and said good evening. I could not tell if they were happy or angry so I stopped smiling and bowed my head.

Then she went on to tell me about the family that wants me as their daughter, then I cried, and the more she told me about the family, the more I cried.

She told me to keep it to myself for a while, like there was anyone I could have told, so I answered "Yes ma" and she sent me to my room. I could not sleep that night. I knew God was mean and all, but I could not help praying to Him to make sure my new family would not have a change of heart.

Though now, I wish they did.
