"Until God opens the next door for you, praise Him in the hallway...."

So I was at an event on Saturday with a few friends. During the event there was a statement that the MC had made that piqued my interest.
She had shouted, as most people do in
Christian focused events "Give God some praise" and instead of the
whistles, shouts, claps and window-shattering noise one would have expected to
accompany the request - there was a deafening lack of this.
Sure - There were a few
"hallelujah's" and some applause here and there, but it was quite, truly, vastly unimpressive.
She said then, "All of you who are
forming for God, may God not form for you"
It struck a nerve.
The truth is - most of us look at the crowd
and faces when we give praise to God and moderate ourselves - as if giving
praise to God is something to be ashamed of. Forgetting the truth that God
doesn't look at the crowd when he blesses and raises you up.
If God treated our blessings and prayers
the way we treat His praise, how blessed do you think you would be? If He
looked around to make sure angels and saints weren't watching when he showered
blessings, how often would your blessings fall?
