The Yoruba Demon

Yoruba Demon love is like peppered dreams. Hot and spicy.... it's nice when it begins - until it starts to hurt you, and your eyes start to water, your throat burns from kisses, and the fire burning in your heart starts to BURN your heart.

Then, you have to choose to wake up, to escape the crimson tongues of flames that are chasing your peace...

Water fountains of "sorry", "he wasnt good for you", "you'll find better" do not heal the hurt.

They do not cool the heat.

They do not quench the flames.

You are burned. And the even the plastic surgery of friends and new love can only hide so much damage.

But you are not broken.
You rise.

You are not defeated.
You move forward.

You are not dead.
You live on.

So LIVE. Wake up! It's not a sweet dream. It's okay if you've been in the dark. That's where stars shine best. You took pepper in your heart, but the inflammation couldn't kill you. You had heartburn for a while, but you made antacids from courage. You've slayed the pull of demons that had held fast your heart.

There is no demon that you cannot beat now.
