For a Peaceful Mind
There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded.

Bitter Like Pride
“A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.” ― C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
I used to hold grudges a lot when I was younger. Planning for Africa, what I would do to all those who hurt me.
Dark, desperate, damaging thoughts.
I would not let these thoughts of revenge go. No, no... I would not let a single person get away with hurting me, or betrayal. I would not let a single tear slip unremitted.

Power!
Two men
One intimidated by the lady in her
The other, unsatisfied with it
Both actually fail to recognize one
thing -
The powers that be
Which she possesses.
When I was younger, my father always told me never to be a liability. He
always said, “Mary! You have all it takes to be all you want.” As I grew up, I
realized that all he told me was true. All I needed to be comfortable, is
within me.

The Case - Chapter Ten (THE FINALE)
Chapter Ten
Raphael vs Raymond
Ralph was trained to do stuff like this. He could see Raymond ahead of him.
The wind rushed past his face, as he sprinted along the deserted area in hot
pursuit. Raymond wasn't as fast, and knew he was done for.
He had lost his weapon when he jumped through the window, and had a nasty
cut on his left thigh. All he had was a knife stuck in his right boot. Ralph
was so close when Raymond tumbled over, feigning fatigue.

Friends and Frienemies
What use is forgiving your ENEMIES, if you can't even forgive your own FRIENDS?
There's this "humour quote" that says - "The bible probably tells us to love our neighbours and love our enemies, probably because they are generally the same people".
Sometimes even the funniest statements contain constants of truth. Think of it this way - a lot of times your 'enemies' are simply friends that you haven't made yet, and I believe that friends are simply 'enemies' you've come to understand.

The Case - Chapter Nine
Chapter Nine:
8:00pm Day 3
"Those morons should've been back by now", said Jones.
He knew something was wrong.
Jake had called the DA and told him about their plan. Of course, Jones
yelled at him for half the time the conversation lasted, but later agreed to
help him. It was their secret, even Chris didn't know about this.
Of course Jake didn't want to risk another slap. Something was wrong, and
he felt it in his bones. Jake gave him a tracking device and bugged the guys
secretly so that they could find the hide-out. The gang wouldn't be expecting
them since no one knows where they stay.

Stereotype Much?
When
you are an Ijebu, man and your friends always make fun of your stingy nature,
does it bother you? When ‘Oyinbos’
think that you come from a country where gorillas and bears walk around freely,
and you live in thatched houses - even in this 21st century, how do
you feel? …Angry? Hurt? Upset?
Every
day, we face people who categorize us and make assumptions based on tribe,
race, appearance, religion, amongst others. These are stereotypes, and we unfortunately
live, today, in a society that overindulges in them.
