(VIDEO) Still The Same

Now a lot of Christians are out in the world not knowing much about their heritage in Christ, or the power that comes along with it. Many of us just answer “Christian” by name or title, and not by our lifestyle.

We forget that Christian means “like Christ” ie, when someone beholds you, they should see Christ in YOU. You are the Jesus that they see, YOU are the bible that they read, YOU are the image of truth that they can look at right now, right here. They should be able to see the truth in YOU. Not a lie or a sham.

“You are so much more than you can imagine or believe.”

I’m sure we’ve all heard that sentence in one form or another, most especially as a Christian. You are told that you are so much more – the light of the world even. The salt of the earth. But do you really know what that means? Do you truly understand how special you really are? Do you know the true worth of your VALUE? In the book of Jeremiah, Chapter 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. He already knows your value, and to Him you are priceless. SO priceless that He planned out your ENTIRE life. To give you an EXPECTED end. It means that if you follow the path He leads you on, the good things will follow. It’s an end expected from the path you follow.

In the same book of Jeremiah, now in chapter 1, vs 5 He says “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Even before you were CONCEIVED He had been thinking about you, planning out things before your arrival. Many people will tell you they had loved you at first sight, or they have loved you for years, or even that they will love you for an eternity – But God is the only one who had ever loved you even before you EXISTED. Before you grew up to know Him. Before you were born. Before your parents even met. He is the only one who will EVER love you that way – purely and unconditionally – even when you sin, he will hate the sin, but His love for you will remain.

His forgiveness abounds.

A lot of people say that the God we read about in the old testament is different from the God in the new testament, the God we know today – but that is a lie. It is very incorrect. God doesn’t ever change, and unless you extensively study the bible, you will never know what that means. Jesus used the scriptures from the old testament to explain not just the things he did, the things that would happen to him, but also the nature of the world and of God also. He said it himself that he had not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it.

God is still the same. He is, He was and He always will be.

You however? You should not. You should be renewed. You should be changed. You should CHANGE. As the light of the world you ARE change.
