The Wardrobe and The Bank

Ok so apparently our dear ol’ senators are getting 21.5 million naira as “wardrobe allowance” – which to be honest, I’m actually wondering how the people that came up with this budget managed to provide any kind of good reason for. Click on read more....

I see people struggling to manage minimum wages of N18,000 to pay for; rent, school fees, food, fuel and other important payments and the people who are – by job description, meant to “serve” us in the government are spending 25% of the national budget. More than 21 states combined. 180million people will now share 75% while 486 people share 25%.

486

Amazing.

One thing is for sure “change” is needed. We’re all human. We’ve seen the suffering people go through every day- when you go to town or to the market, you see the beggars, the homeless, the diseased, the congenitally malformed and the amputees. We see the underprivileged people all over the place quite virtually everywhere we go, and the money that could be used to make REAL CHANGE in their world is used to give people – who are already blessed with economic grace, money enough as if they were all meant to come to the government house in diamond suits and platinum shoes. Where is our hope then for the country?

Please DO note these things for the future – the reckoning of wrongs is yet to come, and once we’ve fixed all these, let us not forget them, lest the past be repeated – as it often seems to be….

You and I can change the world once we’re finally given the chance someday. Please endeavor
NOT to waste it, ignore it, or ever let it pass you by….

Thanks for coming here :)
