The Amazing Chocolate Cake

[4 mins read]

Hi Everyone!!!
How has the month of june been? Well its about to get delicious believe meπŸ˜€

So today we'll be learning something a bit different from the regular food recipes. It's Chocolate cake people! Yass you read that right, not just an ordinary chocolate cake. It's the type that will leave you craving for more.

Its no exaggeration when i say this chocolate cake is as good as the one Bruce Bogtrotter ate in the movie Matilda. It is moist, chocolaty and tasty to mention a few.

Being a baker myself, i've struggled to get that perfect chocolate cake recipe that is not too expensive yet delicious to a fault. Then i came across this recipe that is not just affordable and tasty but also easy to make. That's one of the reasons why it is my favourite chocolate cake recipe of all time, the fact that it is not stressful  or complicated to make would inspire my lovely readers to give it a try being bakers or not.

Enough of the talking right?? Let's start baking...

Ingredients
* 3cups All purpose flour
* 3 cups granulated sugar
* 1½ cups cocoa powder
* 4 large eggs
* 1½ teaspoons salt
* 1½ teaspoons baking powder
* 1 tablespoon baking soda
* 1½ cups buttermilk
* 1½ cups warm water
* ½ cup vegetable oil
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* Butter and flour for coating and dusting the pan

Instructions
*Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

*Butter pan(s). Dust with flour and tap out the excess. Set aside the pans

*Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda , baking powder, salt )

*Add whisked eggs, oil, warm water, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Be careful not to over-mix.

*Divide the batter among pans and bake for about 30 minutes.
   To know if the cake is ready, stick in a toothpick and see if it comes out clean.

* Cool on wire racks until completely cooled. You can frost with your favourite frosting and most importantly enjoy!

NOTES:
 «« The better the quality of cocoa powder used, the better the taste.
«« The flour used for dusting the pan can be replaced with cocoa powder.
«« The quantity of the ingredients can be equally divided or multiplied depending on the quantity of cake needed. This particular recipe makes about two 10inches round pan.
«« The vanilla extract can be replaced by any other flavouring of your choice.

So there you have it lovelies. Please do drop your comments; any addition, questions or recommendations. Make sure you give this a try, believe me you'll love it.

Food fact #3-  Chocolate Is Literally Chemical Love. It contains a chemical called phenylethylamine
Phenylethylamine releases certain “pleasure” endorphins in the brain, which make people feel good all over -- similar to how they feel when they’re madly in love.

With the Eid-el Fitr celebrations coming up. Wont be a bad idea for our muslim readers to add this to their menu for the festival. Trust me your guests would love it..
